Amy Ortiz currently works as a professional designer in Los Angeles where she also teaches screenprinting and production design. She is a creative problem-solver with strong ties to community and a passion for using design to create new ways of thinking. Inspired by everyday life and local cultures, Ortiz develops impactful branding packages for clients from fashion to music and retail to restaurants. Through graphic design, layout, and typography, as well as traditional illustration and printing, she uses her keen visual sense in color and form to help brands captivate new audiences. Trained as a painter and printmaker, she weaves together whimsy and satire in her own work, and isn’t afraid to make bold branding campaigns that ensure clients stand out. Ortiz holds a BFA in Fine Arts from Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles.
